How I built it

Hacked a bunch of JavaScript into CoffeeScript and found the awesome Mozilla API for Speech (implemented in chromium and hence electron)

Challenges I ran into

Not knowing how to write JavaScript/CoffeeScript/Chrome Extensions (the original idea)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It speaks! First hackathon for one member of the team.

What I learned

Everything that can go wrong will go wrong and then it will catch on fire.
