About the project

ATLAS is an interactive spatial learning platform designed to demystify how the Internet works. It transforms complex networking concepts into an explorable visual map, connecting 22 core concepts across five technical branches through 62 semantic relationships.

Users can explore the journey of a web request, from entering a URL and resolving DNS to packet routing, secure connections, and browser rendering. Interactive protocol simulators, a seven-step guided learning route, and 66 progressive knowledge-check questions help learners move beyond memorizing definitions to understanding how Internet systems work together.

ATLAS combines systems thinking, interactive visualization, and active learning to make computer networking more accessible, engaging, and easier to understand.
