The Problem

Today, building a personal portfolio is technically easier than ever.

AI coding tools can generate websites in minutes. But there is a problem: someone still has to know what to ask for, what information to provide, how to structure the content, how to make the design feel personal, and how to deploy the result.

For a technical person, this might be manageable.

For a student, job seeker, designer, researcher, or someone who simply wants a professional online presence, it can still be a frustrating process.

We wanted to remove that friction.

Inspiration

ATLAS started with a simple question:

What if creating a portfolio was less like building a website and more like introducing yourself?

Instead of asking users to start with a blank canvas, choose templates, write prompts, configure layouts, or learn deployment tools, ATLAS starts with what they already have.

A GitHub profile.

A LinkedIn profile.

A resume.

Or simply their story.

ATLAS turns that information into a portfolio that feels like their portfolio, not another generic AI-generated website.

What We Built

ATLAS is an AI-powered portfolio creation platform that transforms a person's existing professional information into a personalized, production-ready portfolio.

The experience is designed around two types of users:

Technical users

Users with GitHub can connect their account and let ATLAS understand their projects, technologies, contributions, and experience.

Non-technical users

Users don't need GitHub at all.

They can provide information such as their LinkedIn profile or resume, and ATLAS extracts the relevant information and builds their portfolio from it.

The goal is simple:

Give ATLAS your story → get a portfolio.

Personalization Instead of Templates

One of the biggest problems we wanted to solve was the feeling that AI-generated portfolios all look and sound the same.

ATLAS doesn't simply fill a template with someone's name.

It analyzes the user's background, projects, experience, skills, and content, then uses that information to construct a portfolio around the person.

We also built a library of distinct visual styles so that the portfolio can match different personalities and professional identities.

The result is intended to feel less like:

"AI generated this website."

and more like:

"This website was made for me."

From Profile to Production

We also wanted to eliminate the final technical barrier: deployment.

A portfolio isn't very useful if it exists only inside a generator.
