Inspiration

I want to build a professional and trustless DeFi platform for everyone to easily interact with.

What it does

It allows users to lend their tokens or borrow tokens based on the provided collateral. While users are supplying their assets, they are earning a supply APY which is paid by the borrowers. Both suppliers and borrowers are also able to earn/mine ATL (Atlantis Loans Governance Token)

How I built it

I built it using different technologies. The backend is powered by blockchain and Solidity smart contracts and the frontend is build with Angular framework, Tailwind CSS and Web3. The other technologies and frameworks used are: Docker, Python, Redis Cache and NodeJs.

The amount of time I spend on both backend and frontend is around 800 hours.

Challenges I ran into

I had to learn how to write Smart contracts and how to interact with it using Web3. Also building a professional DeFi interface where millions of dollars will be stored, was a lot of challenge and responsibility.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of creating one of the best DeFi UI across all blockchains. The UI is advanced yet very simple to use by any user. Also I'm proud of giving people the necessary tools to achieve their financial independence.

What I learned

While working on Atlantis Loans I learned a few valuable lessons. One of those lessons was to never give up even if I was stuck and didn't know how to solve a problem. The other lesson was to listen to the community and consider their input.

What's next for Atlantis Loans

I want Atlantis Loans to be on every mejor cross chain. I already took multi-chain into consideration while designing the architecture. The Atlantis Loans UI is also ready to go multi-chain. The next few weeks I want to introduce a Bridge from where users can send their tokens from one blockchain to another.
