Inspiration

What it does

To track children, elderly people, valuables things like wallet, keys, credit card case.

How we built it

We have created a server where are hosting the PHP files. IOT device is hosting the server and its files. The BASH script is scanning for the change in the strength of the wifi signal. The output of the bash script is feed into the server via GET method. The JAVA code is constantly querying the server for the change in the signal strength. When the signal strength goes below -50dbm the application generates an alert notifying that the parent to be alert and look for the child. In the future, we are going to implement the socket program for too and fro connection. We will also be incorporating GPS technology as well as we are planning to add a panic button.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the wifi signal strength and feeding the real-time value in the app.

We succeeded in doing in a short time, The device costing is very cost effective device and its a very small device,

What's next for ATK

Making it more compact, small and cost-effective.ATK device is a very small GPS and Bluetooth tracker that could be customized for the child day-to-day activities. Sends the parent or guardian a text or email alert if the child is out of the specific zone. Keeping child safety and parental control. It has a very lean and clean APP interface, so it’s a very easy tool to use. You can locate the target device remotely from anywhere at any time. The product cost is very cost effective.
