Our project is a system of panels that would appear in each city block, each carrying an IMU, temp and humidity sensor as well as a ultrasonic distance sensor. The IMU tracks orientation for earthquake detection, the temp/humidity sensor tracks fires and the ultrasonic distance sensor tracks rising water levels. Altogether we created a 3 part disaster detection that would use consensus across blocks for alerts.
