Inspiration
Atelier Glass is built on a shift: Fashion is not a product—it is a system of structured creation. Instead of treating design as output, the project models it as a stepwise cognitive pipeline, inspired by SSD (Structured Software Design) workflows, where each step refines ambiguity into form.
What it does
Atelier Glass is a fashion design e-commerce gallery (payment-ready in future) powered by an AI-guided SSD workflow.
It transforms idea → product through: /onboard → /scope → /prd → /spec → /checklist → /build → /iterate → /reflect
Platform layers: Collections — finalized designs (primary purchasable units in future) Couture Lab — experimental / AI-assisted pieces Material Studies — fabric & texture exploration Archive — past iterations and evolution
User flow: Idea→Structured Design→Artifact→(Future) Commerce
How we built it
The system combines SSD methodology + AI-assisted generation:
- Structured Pipeline Each design follows: /onboard — initialize concept /scope — define boundaries /prd — design intent /spec — technical structure /checklist — validation logic /build — generate artifacts /iterate — refine (optional) /reflect — archive + learn
- System Architecture Modular content system (design stages as data layers) AI for controlled generation (not free-form randomness) Minimal UI aligned with studio/gallery experience Designed for future payment integration
Challenges we ran into
Mapping a software design pipeline to a fashion UX Avoiding collapse into traditional e-commerce patterns: SSD Flow IS NOT Browse→Cart Maintaining coherence across multiple abstraction layers Ensuring AI outputs remain deterministic within structure
Accomplishments that we're proud of
ranslated SSD workflow into a creative fashion system Built a pipeline-driven design platform, not just a gallery Unified: AI generation structured design thinking fashion presentation Established a foundation for design-to-commerce transition
What we learned
- Structure amplifies creativity:
- AI performs best inside defined pipelines
- Users can engage with process, not just results
- Design systems can mirror software architecture ## What's next for Atelier Glass
- Add payment integration to connect output → commerce
- Enable user-driven SSD pipelines (design their own pieces)
- Introduce AI co-creation loops during /iterate
- Expand Archive into a versioned design graph
