Inspiration
Most horoscope apps recycle the same generic lines. I wanted daily astrology that felt specific and fresh, produced at scale without a newsroom.
What it does
AstroZodify gives daily, weekly and monthly horoscopes for all twelve signs, free birth chart readings and zodiac compatibility reports, on a fast website and a companion mobile app. Every horoscope is generated fresh each day by an AI pipeline that blends transit data with editorial templates, so the texts stay specific instead of recycled.
How I built it
It is a Next.js site on a self hosted Postgres backend with an automated content pipeline that also renders short videos for social channels in the cloud. Push notifications deliver each sign its forecast every morning.
Challenges I ran into
Generating fresh daily content for every sign that stays readable and on brand, without drifting into nonsense, took a lot of prompt and template work. Automating the whole publish and distribution loop was the other big piece.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Generation, scheduling and distribution are fully automated, and the birth chart module explains each placement in plain language rather than jargon.
What I learned
Automation is only useful if the output stays trustworthy. The editorial templates around the generation mattered as much as the model itself.
What's next for AstroZodify
More languages, personalized forecasts based on a full birth chart, and richer compatibility features.
