We know the importance of mental and physical health for everyone. Especially during spaceflight, mental and physical health can take a huge toll, as people are in a completely new environment. It can be very difficult for the body to adjust mentally and physically, so we wanted to create an application which can help people adjust to the change. For inspiration for our ideas, we looked at various sports teams around the world. Athletes put their bodies through great challenges, and to remedy this, many teams create apps which allow their players to input mental and physical health parameters, which the app can then analyze, identify problems, and provide possible remedies. Due to challenging nature of spaceflight, we decided to create a similar app, to allow all space voyagers to find remedies to their newfound problems.

What it does

Our website takes the astronauts problems and provides them with a possible solution to any of their problems on their flight to Howler.

How we built it

We built it using and we used Tkinter to help us with the interface of the actual website because we found that much easier to use and code.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into was that no one in our group is great at coding, and the framework we decided to use was new to everyone, so completing the website was a bit of a challenge

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to create a functioning website from scratch. We are also proud that we were able to create a user-friendly system that can assist the astronauts in space travel. We were able to collaborate together and work together and overcome multiple the problems we faced.

What we learned

We learned how to use Tkinter for the first time. We also learned how to be productive with our time while also having a good time with our teammates.

What's next for AstroHealth

We would love to add a more interactive user interface, as right now it is limited to just physical and mental health. We would like to add a extra section for food and nutrition. We would also love to create a personal profile for each astronaut, and set daily intake goals to help them meet their daily nutritional needs.
