Inspiration

My small brother used to ask me about the planets, stars, night sky, etc. He also says nowadays night sky is not visible and is mostly foggy cause of pollution. then I thought that I should develop a space app which educates and encourages students to save planet.

What it does

Astro Dude app helps students get latest information about meteors and stars by its Meteor Screen and Star map screen. Astro dude app also have a chat bot powered by Chat GPT which helps resolving student's extra doubts related to anything on the spot without delay. app also have a daily pic screen which shows daily pics related to space/night sky. app also have a Space Craft Screen having some space craft's pics and info.

How we built it

I built it with JavaScript and react-native framework.

Challenges we ran into

I had hundreds of errors which we solved after so much hard work like app had an error of star map not getting displayed on android and also app used to crash every single time but now, I have solved all those bugs and errors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very happy that I have created an app which may help some students for their research work. I am proud that I have now also put my work for sustainability.

What we learned

I have learned the importance of our planet and what it matters to us. I have learned that there are several ways through which we can help our planet and encourage people to support the step to save it

What's next for Astro Dudes

I have planned to add some mini space games which are educational and entertaining. I have also planned to add a space simulator in it in which user will be able to explore solar system from deep . I will add extra information like things on blackholes, supernovas, etc. it will educate children and students very much in space field. There are many more things about to come in the app with some improvements in designs also.
