Inspiration
To mine protein data to help scientists fight Chagas disease
What it does
Creating a model to classify the classes based on the protein data. We are finding the linear epitope from the given proteins.
How we built it
We followed the data analysis pipeline starting from Exploratory data analysis, Data preprocessing and finally fitting an appropriate classification model.
Challenges we ran into
Tackling missing values, the class imbalance in the data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The model can be used in a way to help the scientists in understanding the data aspect and thereby we can save lives.
What we learned
The classification models can be used in predicting the classes. We tried different classification models and found the F1_score inorder to fit the best model.
What's next for Aston_Hackers
We are planning to participate in hackathons and thereby can improve our programming knowledge and network with the other teams.
