The Sun is 8.2 light-minutes away. Every photon hitting our solar panels traveled 149.6 million km before powering this project.

Asterisk (*) was born from a simple observation: 500 million people with disabilities need AI-powered accessibility tools — real-time sign language translation, audio description for the blind, live dubbing. But training and running these models requires enormous compute.

👑 What It Does

Asterisk () is a **sovereign WebMCP mesh platform* that:

  • Donates 2–5% of idle browser compute (WebGPU/WASM) from every visitor to a distributed P2P grid
  • Powers real-time accessibility: sign language translation, blind scene description, live dubbing — 100% free for disabled users
  • Exposes WebMCP tools so AI agents (ChatGPT, Chrome) can directly orchestrate the mesh network
  • Rewards contributors via StarsChain (Standard 700: 1 coin = 12g silver) — no charity, self-funded by the mesh itself

🏗️ How We Built It

  1. WebMCP Registrydocument.modelContext.registerTool() exposes 8 tools for AI agents: mesh_get_topology, accessibility_translate_stream, mesh_dispatch_parallel_task, privacy_get_purge_countdown, and more.

  2. Ada/SPARK 2022 Core — Formally verified with gnatprove level 4. Zero buffer overflows. Zero null pointers. Mathematical guarantees:

    • vacuum_mincovna.adb — SB-NFT sovereign wallet & StarsChain gas
    • ash_sweeper_buffer.adb — In-memory only, 0 disk writes, daily purge at 04:23
    • sparkdog_watchdog.adb — Self-healing zero-crash supervisor
    • hippocratic_oath_guard.adb — Formally verified ethics (disabled users = always free)
  3. Nebius Token Factory — NVIDIA Nemotron-3 Ultra for sign language tokenization and scene description inference at scale.

  4. P2P WebRTC Mesh — Browser tabs connect as compute nodes, WebGPU workers process MediaPipe pose estimation for sign language.

  5. Privacy Protocol 04:23 — Every day at 04:23 AM, all metadata is cryptographically purged. Zero persistence. Zero surveillance.
