The decentralized finance (DeFi) world is booming—but with rapid innovation comes increasing risk. We were frustrated watching genuine investors lose money to rug pulls, scam tokens, and malicious smart contracts. Drawing inspiration from traditional financial safeguards and the power of AI, we set out to bring trust, transparency, and protection to DeFi—without compromising decentralization.


🚀 What it does

AssureFi is an AI-powered security layer for DeFi ecosystems. It safeguards investors and protocols by automating contract audits, enforcing liquidity locks, monitoring real-time on-chain activity, and generating decentralized trust scores.

Think of it as an AI auditor + watchdog + DeFi credit bureau—designed to help investors spot red flags before it’s too late.

  • AI-based smart contract vulnerability detection using NLP-enhanced code scanning
  • Liquidity lock enforcement, detecting unlocked or time-manipulated pools
  • On-chain monitoring for whale wallet movements and unusual trading patterns

🛠️ How we built it

  • Formed a cross-functional team with expertise in AI, smart contracts, full-stack development, and product
  • Used LangChain and Gemini APIs to build an NLP-powered smart contract risk analyzer
  • Developed frontend using React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS
  • Built backend with Flask (Python) integrated with AI and rule-based risk scoring logic
  • Used Web3.js and Ethers.js for blockchain interaction and contract analysis
  • Created SNS scrapers for Telegram and Twitter to collect real-time sentiment signals
  • Combined AI models with heuristic rules for intelligent and adaptive risk detection
  • Integrated a real-time notification system for live contract risk alerts
  • Designed UI/UX with Figma for an intuitive, minimal, and responsive experience
  • Deployed on Vercel and used IPFS for storing decentralized flagged audit data

🚧 Challenges we ran into

  • Balancing decentralization with trust enforcement without introducing central authority
  • Fine-tuning Gemini’s LLM to understand Solidity’s dynamic structures and edge cases
  • Designing a UI that caters to both technical and non-technical DeFi users
  • Ensuring that live monitoring remains scalable and real-time under heavy on-chain activity
