Inspiration:
Our inspiration comes from our people first centric model. Which is why our product is not some sci-fi looking collection of wires but a hat!
What it does It will help you avoid obstacles and provide critical alert messaging services too for immediate help. Additionally, a real-time video feed is also streamed in case of extreme situations.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into Since it was a purely hardware hack, challenges were surmounting. Non-availability of hardware to pivot idea after idea, we finally decided to give this a shot. Setting them up properly took a lot of time as the ethernet module was broken or the camera module was unresponsive... Moreover, proper hardware only became available when more than half of the hack was over.
Accomplishments that we're proud of include trying out a new development board which is the Nvidia Jetson Nano and trying to hack around with it to see if we could use computer vision projects. I would possibly be the only hacker haven't slept a minute so far..
What we learned Scripting! New ways of connecting to headless hardware and making things work!
What's next for Assistive Devices for Partially Visible/Blind People... The future is really sky-high in this domain with so many technologies coming in like neurohacking, neural chips etc..
