Assisting Students Select Their Major

Our goal is to help upcoming students look into multiple different undergraduate programs and see how many students are in that major alongside reviews.

Inspiration

We wanted to come up with something that would help incoming students and offer them with services they have and data to back it up

What it does

It helps students find the major that would be best suited for them along with the amount of people in that major.

How we built it

We used HTML and Tableau to create a website and used AWS SageMaker analyze data and return an answer to the user.

Challenges we ran into

None of us knew how to properly do HTML or use any of these. Though, we were able to fix multiple errors that showed up.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of ourselves to be able to make a website that works and learn how to use HTML, Tableau, CSS, and AWS.

What's next for Assisting to Discover Their Major with AWS and Tableau

We were originally planning to say this would help the office of admissions since its a questionnaire that will help them, though there's a long ways to go currently. If we continue to work on this project, we would be able to link everything together and submit a potential draft to office of admissions!
