Inspiration
The basic idea behind this project is to create a simple stand-alone application that helps people in using the computer with an ease rather feeling ignorant or computer illiterate. And most importantly it can be helpful for the visually impaired people in using devices.
What it does
Some of the highlighted features of our assistant are- Tells us the current time and date Opens a webpage Fetch answers for queries from the web Do counting and small operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Open applications like notepad, android studio, VLC media player, Google Chrome, etc. Play music on YouTube Tells us poems, quotes and jokes Tells us corona (Covid19) cases, etc.
How we built it
With the help of different libraries available in Python.
Challenges we ran into
Faced some difficulties in scraping the data for COVID-19 cases from a website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completed more features than expected
What we learned
I have learnt many concepts with this project, but the major one's are- web scraping usage of APIs to get data usage of built-in libraries and unofficial libraries
What's next for Assist me
