Inspiration

Small businesses lose time managing leads, follow-ups, invoices, and payments across disconnected tools like spreadsheets, messaging apps, email, and CRMs. We were inspired by a simple question: what if business operations could be run through conversation instead of manual software work?

What it does

Kaiju AI is a conversational business copilot that helps small businesses manage operations through natural language. Users can add leads, schedule follow-ups, generate invoices, track payments, and automate repetitive workflows simply by chatting with Kaiju instead of navigating multiple tools.

How we built it

Kaiju AI is designed as a chat-first SaaS platform powered by:

  • AI-driven command understanding
  • Workflow automation using n8n
  • Supabase for business data management
  • Web interface for conversational operations
  • Subscription infrastructure for scalable SaaS delivery

The product combines AI agents, automation, and business operations into one unified system.

Challenges we ran into

A major challenge was simplifying complex operational workflows into natural conversation while keeping automation reliable. Another challenge was designing a product that feels powerful enough for business use while remaining simple for small business owners with limited technical expertise.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of turning a common but overlooked pain point—manual business busywork—into a scalable AI solution. We also created a concept that replaces fragmented software processes with a unified conversational operating model.

What we learned

We learned that automation alone is not enough; usability and workflow orchestration are equally important. We also learned how AI agents can move beyond assistance into action by executing business operations, not just recommending them.

Next we want to expand Kaiju AI into a full conversational operating system for small businesses with:

Inspiration

Many students struggle with complex school assignments such as science models, working projects, and creative tasks because instructions are often unclear and too dependent on parental help. The idea for AssignMate AI came from solving this “itch”: making assignments more guided, independent, and student-friendly.

What it does

AssignMate AI is an AI-powered platform that converts difficult assignments into step-by-step interactive learning kits. It helps students understand project requirements, provides materials checklists, explains each step clearly, offers examples, and guides students through completing assignments independently.

How we built it

We designed AssignMate AI as a combination of:

  • AI-powered assignment guidance
  • Interactive project walkthroughs
  • Student-friendly DIY project kits
  • Personalized support based on age and difficulty level

The concept combines web technology, AI assistance, and EdTech-focused SaaS thinking to make assignments more accessible and engaging.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was designing a solution that supports learning without simply giving answers. Another challenge was balancing simplicity for younger students with enough flexibility for complex projects. We also focused on making the concept scalable for schools as well as individual students.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of creating a solution that addresses a real pain point in education, encourages independent learning, reduces parental burden, and reimagines assignments as hands-on guided learning experiences instead of stressful tasks.

What we learned

We learned that solving educational problems is not only about technology, but also about understanding students’ learning needs, usability, and accessibility. We also learned how AI can support skill-building rather than just answer-giving.
