This asset is brought to you by a love of simulated physics, destruction and going medieval.
What it does
Catapult: Launches a projectile by interacting with the CUI interface. SiegeKit: Castle walls swap meshes when the projectile enters its trigger. The Flag HUD elements grey-out flags that have fallen into the ground trigger.
How we built it
The Catapult was an old project that was made up entirely of primitive meshes. This revision was built in blender and then coded using Meta World's typescript.
Challenges we ran into
Writing cleaner code. Animating with typescript.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Focusing on asset development. Keeping it simple.
What I learned
Less is more and more gets done.
What's next for ASSET: Catapult and SiegeKit
I hope to see other worlds incuded some of these elements in their builds. I'd like to include "Faction" customization to allow builders more freedom in defining the faction logos, colours and styles.
