Inspiration

Education is the foundation for a better future. It empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and drives sustainable development. Yet, student dropouts continue to pose a major challenge, impacting economic growth and social progress. We are inspired by the UN SDG goal of quality education for all. Addressing student dropouts is crucial to achieving this, and ASPIRE aims to be a solution that empowers educators to make a difference.

What it does

We have built a user-engaging website that can predict students at risk of dropping out and, according to the collected data, automatically alerts their parents or respective authorities. Educational institutions can also use Aspire to prevent their students from dropping out of school, as education is necessary for every child to establish themselves as responsible individuals in this society.

How we built it

We combined machine learning models, Python for data analysis, and a user-friendly front end. By training on real educational data, we ensured ASPIRE delivers accurate and impactful predictions. Aspire is still under development and will completely be developed soon.

Challenges we ran into

We faced hurdles like data quality issues, ensuring model fairness, and building an intuitive interface. Overcoming these challenges required extensive testing and refining of our approach.
