ASL detector

Inspiration I was always really into AI and ML

What it does It detects what letters of the ASL someone is holding up

How we built it We split up the work into front end, back end and ml. I did ML where I used TensorFlow to create my neural networks. The website was built using HTML and backend was using flask.

Challenges we ran into Open CV2 was super hard to get working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of I am very proud that we have somewhat of a working product

What we learned alot about programming etiquette and also a lot about ML and backend development.

What's next for ASL detector

We are trying to increase its effectiveness.

I worked on the frontend and backend portion of the project. We used flask as the web framework with python and html. It was a challenge to try and connect the machine learning portion of the project to the UI but it was fun trying to create this web application!
