What it does
Ask Rook creates role-aware onboarding guides, answers questions using trusted context, and asks an owner when the correct answer is unclear.
How we built it
We used Next.js, FastAPI, DataHub, and Docker to build a self-hosted application with onboarding, approvals, and knowledge write-back.
Challenges
Our main challenge was turning complex metadata into clear guidance while keeping humans in control of uncertain decisions.
What we learned
A useful data assistant should do more than answer questions. it should make every approved answer reusable for the future.
What’s next
We plan to add more integrations, personalized onboarding paths, notifications, and team-level insights.
