⚖️ AskQanoon: Pakistani Law AI Assistant 🌟 The Inspiration: Closing the Justice Gap In Pakistan, the legal system can often feel like a labyrinth. With over 2 million pending cases and legal jargon that creates a barrier for the common citizen, justice is often delayed or inaccessible. We were inspired by a simple question: What if every Pakistani had a high-quality legal expert in their pocket? AskQanoon was born to democratize the law—turning complex statutes like the PPC and CrPC into clear, actionable guidance for everyone, regardless of their legal background or primary language.

🛠️ How We Built It: Precision Meets Law We didn’t just build a chatbot; we built a specialized legal brain.

The Foundation (RAG): We utilized Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Instead of the AI "guessing" the law, it actively searches a curated Pinecone vector database of verified Pakistani legal texts to find the exact section before answering.

Bilingual Intelligence: To ensure true accessibility, we optimized the model for English and Roman Urdu, allowing users to speak or type in the language they use every day.

Agentic Workflows: We developed specialized "Agents" for different tasks—one for visual compliance matrices and another for settlement strategy—using multi-jurisdiction analysis logic.

🎉 Accomplishments We Are Proud Of Zero-Hallucination Citations: Unlike general AI, AskQanoon provides verifiable citations (e.g., PPC Section 302) for every claim, ensuring legal reliability.

The Compliance Matrix: We successfully integrated a system that can compare local Pakistani regulations against global standards like GDPR and CCPA in seconds—a task that usually takes a legal team days.

Inclusive UI: Integrating Voice Mode has allowed us to reach users who may find typing complex legal terms difficult, making law truly vocal.

We are proud that a small business owner can now check their data compliance without a massive retainer, and an individual can understand their rights in Roman Urdu. We’ve built a tool that doesn't just "chat"—it protects.

Case Law Integration: Moving beyond statutes to include a century of High Court and Supreme Court precedents.

Document Automation: Allowing users to auto-generate legally sound contracts and notices based on their AI consultations.

The "Pro" Portal: A dedicated workspace for Pakistani lawyers to manage their research and draft settlement offers with even deeper strategic analysis.
