Inspiration

The Arab market is growing fast, but businesses still treat it like a mystery. As an Arab person before a developer, I constantly see companies relying on outdated data or making assumptions about what people want. That gap — between real people and real decisions — inspired me to build AskNative. It’s time to listen, not guess.

What it does

AskNative is a micro-survey platform that rewards Arabic-speaking users for answering short, targeted surveys. Companies and researchers can collect high-quality, localized insights — fast and affordably — from real people. Users earn small rewards for each response, while businesses finally get access to data they can trust.

How we built it

Frontend: Built using Vite, React, and TailwindCSS
Backend: Powered by Supabase for authentication, database, and serverless functions
Deployment: Hosted on Netlify with secure environment variable handling
Project management & AI support: All managed and scaffolded using Bolt.new

Challenges we ran into

Environment variable handling during deployment
Getting routing and auth to work smoothly with Supabase
Building a flexible, scalable survey model with multiple question types (scale, short answer, etc.) -Managing authentication and user data securely through Supabase, especially during deployment

Fully functional MVP with survey creation, user login, and reward tracking
Clean and responsive design, optimized for mobile users
