✨ Inspiration

In times of confusion and emotional struggle, many people turn to spirituality for answers. The Bhagavad Gita is a timeless source of wisdom, but it's often hard to access or understand in everyday language.

We wanted to build an app that bridges the spiritual depth of the Gita with the modern convenience of technology—allowing anyone to ask a life question and receive a calm, relevant, and meaningful response based on Krishna’s teachings.

• 🧠 Frontend: Built with React (Vite) for a fast, responsive user experience
• 🧘‍♂️ Spiritual UI: Cosmic dark theme with Krishna’s imagery and peaceful animations
• 📡 APIs Used:
  • BhagavadGita.io for real-time shlokas and translations
  • API (LLaMA 3) for natural language understanding and spiritual interpretation
  • Pexels API for contextual, serene background imagery
• 🔗 Deployment: Hosted on Netlify

🧠 What We Learned

• How to combine AI reasoning with spiritual content in a respectful and meaningful way
• The power of clean UI/UX to enhance emotional and spiritual engagement
• How to semantically match modern user queries to ancient wisdom

🚧 Challenges We Faced

• Mapping user questions to the right shloka from 700+ verses across 18 chapters
• Ensuring the AI explains answers without misinterpreting scripture
• Creating a UI that feels both modern and spiritually calming
• Integrating multiple APIs smoothly within a real-time app experience
