Ask The PDF

Inspiration

As a student, I often find myself reviewing many pages of notes. This is the reason, I was inspired to build a project that would streamline this task and improve the learning process.

What it does

This project allows users to upload a PDF file and then ask any questions they want! All answers will be from the content found in the PDF.

How we built it

The frontend for this project was build using React. Meanwhile, the backend was built with Flask. The functionality was built using LangChain, Open AI and Chroma.

What's next for Ask The PDF

Currently, this project only allows users to upload PDF files. Future versions could allow various types of file inputs (ex. videos).
