✨Inspiration

Most of us are Asian and so we all looked at what we had at home that constantly pushes us to be better: a tiger mom

🤖What it does

Introducing Tiger Mom: an extension to assist individuals grappling with chronic procrastination by providing a motivational push to complete projects and reduce screen time. This innovative solution draws inspiration from the rigorous discipline of the tiger mom, employing a unique blend of snarky remarks and passive aggressive words of encouragement to spur users into action.

⚙️How we built it

We developed "Tiger Mom" using JavaScript for the backend logic and HTML and CSS for the frontend presentation. We got our stock image from the internet and builded the memes with memegenerator. We also got a list of unproductive site from this GitHub repo: (https://github.com/bytescout/list-of-procrastination-websites/tree/main).

🚧Challenges we ran into

Embarking on this project marked our initiation into the realm of hackathons, representing a significant milestone for our team. As newcomers, we grappled with the intricacies of collaborating on a project under tight time constraints and mastering unfamiliar languages, notably html and json, posed a steep learning curve.

✔️Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are particularly proud of how we managed to learn and apply new skills in extension development. Seeing our ideas transform into a funny and useful extension was incredibly rewarding. The fact that we created all the memes ourselves adds a level of accomplishment to our project.

This project was a dive into the world of extensions. We learned not just the technical aspects of using json, but also about web design and artwork creation.
