Short and Up to the Point
There was this class I was taking in senior year called CS Career Development. The purpose of the class was to take the coding skills that we learned for the last 3 years and apply it in some way. The teacher made us do all sort of things such as come up with ideas (apps, websites, etc.), make elevator pitches and present to actual developers and more. After that process was over, we had to form a team of four and make one of our ideas come to life. I was in a group with my friends mainly and he had this idea that we wanted to create where artist all over the world could share and sell their artwork. I thought it was a good idea and so did everyone else and we stuck by it. After 2 months of developing, ArtStart was created. It is not a finished product, but we got a lot done with the limited knowledge that we had (includes a crash course in web design and databases). I'm just glad to say that I got to work with great people and I am proud of the website that we worked on. It may not be the best, but it definitely motivated the whole group to pursue our dreams as developers.
