🖼️ ARtisan – Bring History to Your Desk 💡 Inspiration

We’ve all seen history through pictures and books, but what if we could walk around it? Museums are magical, yet not everyone can access them. That inspired us to create ARtisan — a project that uses AI and AR to bring artifacts and their stories right into your space. We wanted learning about history to feel immersive, emotional, and unforgettable.

✨ What it does

ARtisan transforms your screen into a personal museum. Users can select or scan an artifact, and the app instantly projects a 3D version of it in augmented reality. Then, an AI-powered curator narrates its history, origin, and a fun fact in a warm, human tone. It’s like having a knowledgeable museum guide sitting right in your living room — powered by AI.

🛠️ How we built it

We built ARtisan using Flames.blue, a no-code AI app development platform that helped us move from idea to prototype rapidly.

AI Integration: Used OpenAI API via Flames.blue’s AI workflows for artifact narrations.

AR & UI: Leveraged built-in components and WebAR integrations from Flames.blue to visualize 3D models.

Assets: Imported 3D objects from Sketchfab and Google Poly.

Voice Narration: Added a TTS layer to bring the curator’s storytelling to life.

Design: Minimal, elegant UI — inspired by real museum aesthetics with a modern digital touch.
