What's next for Artisan Market Place

Many skilled artisans create unique handmade products such as bamboo crafts, coconut shell items, woolen goods, and traditional artwork. However, most of them rely on local markets and lack access to simple digital platforms. Existing e-commerce websites restrict product uploads to approved sellers, making it difficult for independent artisans to reach a wider audience. This gap inspired me to develop a dedicated platform focused on empowering artisans.

Problem Statement

Independent artisans do not have an easy, secure, and accessible online platform to showcase and sell their handmade products directly to customers. As a result, high-quality handcrafted items remain limited to local exposure and fail to scale digitally.

Solution

I developed a web-based Artisan Marketplace that allows artisans to register, upload their products, and manage listings independently. To maintain quality and security, an admin approval system reviews all product submissions before they are published. The platform uses role-based access control, ensuring artisans manage only their own products while customers can safely browse and purchase approved items.
