Inspiration

It’s frustrating that while there’s abundant information about social, business, and cultural events out there, no one seems to focus on Visual Art. I recognized this gap and decided to take action. That's why I launched ARTinfoINDIA.COM. I’ve been diligently gathering insights from social media and sharing this valuable content across the website and various platforms. It’s about time the arts received the attention they deserve!

What it does

This initiative will develop an extensive database encompassing Art Events and Activities, Art Galleries, Artists, and Venues. Additionally, it will generate a dedicated page or search results highlighting all the activities associated with a specific artist.

How we built it

We need to gather comprehensive details about art events and activities as part of our awareness campaign. By reaching out personally to art galleries, museums, event organizers, and artists, we can collect a wealth of information.

Challenges we ran into

Certain artists maintain a limited online presence, making it necessary to gather information through personal interactions. As an artist without a technical background, I haven't had much experience with HTML or web development. Since hiring a technical team isn't feasible for my budget, I've made the most of what I can with the assistance of WordPress.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was thrilled when I announced the launch of our website, ARTinfoINDIA.COM, on January 1, 2011 ! Since then, I've been passionately collecting and sharing exciting information about art events and activities. With the insights gathered from social media, I've been sharing this wonderful content across our site and various platforms. It's high time the arts got the spotlight they truly deserve!

What we learned

I successfully gathered insights into various art activities and categories, compiled a comprehensive database of numerous lesser-known art galleries, reached out to thousands of artists, and raised awareness about diverse art initiatives. Additionally, I collected important information regarding the challenges faced by art galleries and artists.

Ensure that all centennial art events and activities are easily accessible online, along with the profiles of every participating artist.
