Inspiration

We saw the art around TCNJ this weekend and decided to do an art-themed project.

What it does

This project uses a machine learning algorithm called neural style transfer displayed on a flask web-app

How we built it

We built this web application through a flask backend that integrated a react frontend with an AI made in python (pytorch).

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge we ran into is time. If we had more time, we could have done a lot more to the web application such as more animations and more features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We could have done more if we had more time, but overall we are extremely happy with the current state of our project and we are proud we were able to put this together in only a day.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate flask with a python backend

What's next for ARTificial

We might look into trying to integrate a visualization of the machine learning algorithm. This visualization will show you in real time the content image changing subject to the style image. Our current version does this behind the scenes and only shows you the finished product.
