ALT emerged from our dissatisfaction with Duolingo's inability to offer genuine conversation practice with native speakers. So, we used AI to replicate native speech, providing users with unique language-learning experiences
What it does
ALT is capable of analyzing users' voice input and using OpenAI's ChatGPT to enhance language proficiency. Through generated everyday conversations, quizzes, and learning tips, ALT offers tailored guidance. Utilizing OpenAI Whisper, it transcribes user speech into text, while Polly converts ChatGPT's responses into human speech, ensuring seamless interaction and effective language learning.
