Inspiration
We were inspired by games like Suck Up and Ace Attorney. With the rise of AI, we thought that we could bring the murder mystery genre to the next level.
What it does
Our game allows you to solve AI-generated murder mysteries by talking to different characters in order to crack the case. On startup it creates a completely unique scenario. It creates a victim assigns the killer and creates alibis and clues to get from the characters.
How we built it
We built it using the Unity game engine and OpenAI
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge we faced during this project was developing prompts so that the game wasn't too easy or impossible to win. We also had to find the right prompts so that the AI could portray fun and realistic characters that didn’t feel like a robot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're happy with how the art and sound effects came out, along with how the characters behave.
What we learned
We learned how to use openai and api keys and how to implement them with different software in order to create a new and unique project.
What's next for Artificial Evidence
We may keep polishing it after the hackathon, and it could even be on Steam one day!
