Inspiration
The inability to find an online platform, that is easy to use, dedicated to art commissioning. Websites commonly used for such purposes do not make it possible for the user to directly request art (or buy existing art) when the user finds an artist with skills that satisfy what they are looking for. This website
What it does
It helps artists to make money by either selling existing artwork or giving art commissions to people. It helps art enthusiasts to easily get the art they are interested by directly requesting from the artist. Additionally, it recommends suggestions for the customers based on previous searches and purchase history.
How I built it
We have built the backend using node.js with relying on Azure Cosmos DB as our main database. We have developed the front end using react.
Challenges I ran into.
Setting up Azure. Linking back-end and front-end. Time constraint. Lack of energy.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Building the UI.
What I learned
Prepare ahead for future hackathons.
What's next for ArtHub
We hope to incorporate the exchange and commissioning of physical artwork through having a shipping or pick up system. Secure payment system, and NFSW filter.
