🌟 Our Story 💡 How This Started Honestly, this project didn’t begin with a super detailed master plan. We started with a vibe. We were talking about how: Art feels meaningful, but also kind of intimidating Not everyone understands art styles or knows what fits their space Choosing art for your room can feel weirdly stressful So we thought: What if AI could help people understand art and choose art that actually fits them? That idea stuck with us — and we decided to just start building and see where it goes. 🧠 What We Discovered Along the Way As we built, the project naturally grew into three parts: 🎨 Artwork analysis – understanding visual style, colors, and artistic features 🧱 Wall & interior analysis – checking how art fits a physical space 👤 Personality-based matching – connecting art with someone’s vibe, not just their wall We didn’t plan it perfectly from the start — we explored, tested ideas, and shaped the system step by step. It was very much: “Let’s try this… wait that’s cool… ok build on that.” 🛠️ How We Built It Our system starts with what the user gives us: An artwork image A room or wall photo Or their personal style preferences From there, our AI pipeline: Looks at the artwork Identifies colors, textures, and visual patterns Detects technical-looking features like cracks or pigment regions Interprets overall artistic style Looks at the space Understands wall colors and room mood Suggests what kind of art would visually fit Matches with the person Translates preferences into visual styles Recommends art that feels emotionally aligned, not just visually correct We focused on building a clear flow: User input → AI visual understanding → Personalized art insight ⚡ Challenges (a.k.a. The Real Hackathon Experience) We’ll be honest — we did a lot of vibe coding. Some challenges we ran into: 🎭 Art is emotional, but AI is logical Turning “this feels calm and nostalgic” into something a model can process was not easy. 🖼️ Seeing vs. Understanding Getting AI to detect features is one thing. Getting it to explain art in a meaningful way is another. ⏳ Time pressure We had way more ideas than time — so we had to quickly decide what was core and what had to wait. A lot of our progress came from: Testing → tweaking → breaking things → fixing them → repeating 😅 ❤️ What This Project Means to Us This project shows how AI doesn’t just have to be about productivity. It can also be about: Creativity Self-expression Making art feel more personal and less intimidating We didn’t just build an analysis tool. We built something that helps people connect with art in a way that feels more like them.
