Inspiration

As women that have all experienced similar struggles in gaining access to the appropriate healthcare and education regarding women-centric health issues, such as menstruation, UTIs, and breast self-examinations. We wanted to take this opportunity to create a platform to reduce this divide between women and their getting the education and help they deserve.

What it does

Artemis is an app created to be an all-encompassing resource for women's health needs. From period tracking, to legitimate, comprehensive sex-ed, to getting in touch with a female doctor in your vicinity, we have it all!

How we built it

We created the app using Swift, in the Xcode IDE. The graphic design was all done using the website link

Challenges we ran into

All of our team members came into SheHacks III with limited prior experience in coding, and absolutely no experience with coding in Swift, having to learn how to create a basic app using Swift using the limited time frame we had was definitely a challenge!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we came together as a cohesive team to tackle a completely new challenge (coding in Swift) to create the very first prototype of our app!

What we learned

We learned that no matter your background or experience level, there is always an opportunity to learn through doing - you can never grow and expand your knowledge without first trying! The only thing holding you back is yourself.
