Inspiration
USA just introduced a 2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill into their country. This bill enables them to combat climate change and bring their economy to the forefront of the world once again. This proves that infrastructure is the building block of nations and combating most nature's issues.
What it does
The app we developed is a multi faceted app which provides the customer with whatever they wish in order to help the world against climate change. If you wish to improve your own home in energy savings you may. If you wish to directly buy real estate thats rated based on our very own formula for deciding THE ARTEMIS RATING based on the different green-fittings in the house( some include radiation water heater, solar panel electricity, green corridors,
How we built it
We sat through a whole day of FLUTTER and Android Studio crash course in order to implement our ideas. We were constantly talking about what the motive of the app would be. We tried to stay true to our big picture that is helping combat Climate Change and helping people purchase sustainable infrastructure and homes.
Challenges we ran into
The major challenge was time as we started work approximately 1 and half days before the deadline. We had to learn the whole of flutter's basics and we sat through 7-8 continous hours of videos to understand. Though we had many ideas the execution is what matters and it was indeed very hard.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
Through this hackathon we learned more in development than from the past year of coding classes which happened. The time constraint and the PROBLEM statements' complexity really helped us push ourselves to the limit in the last day before the deadline.
What's next for Artemis-Bricks
Many future features are WIP for the app such as listing your own property and rating properties you visit based on their eco friendliness and landlord's attitude. We would love to take this forward and make this into an actual app and start-up given the funding and resources and time.
