Inspiration
LOUVRE
What it does
We have a Cloudflare tunnel that allows the JSON from the python scripts running on Jonah's laptop to be used by the deployed Vercel frontend, which primarily serves as a dashboard that displays the status on all objects on the surveillance footage. The security system monitors our Louvre artifacts in real time, sending real alerts with an alarm system to catch criminals. A second surveillance microphone also detects sound/the alarm, and then records a brief video so the criminal can be later identified.
How we built it
Python with Flask (API Endpoints), OpenCV (Webcam recording), and YOLO (Object detecting)
Challenges we ran into
figuring out these unfamiliar python libraries
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We got very out of our comfort zone. We thought a project like this wouldn't be possible in under 12 hours, but we made it happen.
What we learned
A LOT!
