Inspiration
The inspiration for Art Finder comes from our loving art but always struggling to actually get it in the house. We wanted a way to see it in our own space and get the sense immediately.
What it does
Art Finder allows users to swipe through artworks and rate them. It also takes a photo of the space where the art is going to go and customizes recommendations by both the space and the taste of the user.
How we built it
We used Unity and Meta SDK for the front end and have a python backend fastapi running on railway.
Challenges we ran into
A lot of issues with Unity versions and input. It was a while since either of us had used it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting really good recommendations working using embeddings.
What we learned
A lot about embeddings and Unity debugging. A lot about art as well.
