Inspiration
The goal of this iOS app is to motivate exercise–especially for those who are incapable of typical exercises such as jogging, etc.
What it does
The app gamifies exercise through the usage of augmented reality–the combination of virtual objects and real life. A user is able to place targets in their reality and then tries to hit all of the targets. He or she earns more points by hitting the targets with more force, as computed by the accelerometer hardware in the smartphone. When targets are hit, they spin and disappear and the user earns a certain amount of points dependent on their force/acceleration. If a user has certain physical impairments, they can place targets in more convenient locations to optimize their exercise routine. For example, someone in a wheel chair will likely not put any targets too high up as they would not be able to reach them while sitting down.
How I built it
This app is built using Apple's ARKit and CoreMotion.
