Inspiration
We want people in our community to feel safer when using ride-share apps and taxis. The intention behind this app is to allow users to ride with peace of mind. They do not have to constantly check their phone to verify if they are going the wrong way.
What it does
The T-Mobile DevEdge IoT device we use is able to track location and speed. When the companion app is paired to the device the user can turn on safety mode. This feature allows the user's phone to send an automated message to the user if the driver makes any unexpected or incorrect turns. If the user does not answer the text within a few minutes, a text will be sent to their emergency contact.
How we built it
We used the T-Mobile DevEge IoT kit zephyr RTOS tmo. for the backend, used python, API alls to the google maps API. front end figma
Challenges we ran into
We needed to make fake data points to mimic the user driving.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We came together as a group of strangers and came together to create something we are passionate about.
What we learned
We learned more about firmware and how to use the device.

Everything on-chip, Integrate all of the fragmented components, Predictive Destinations, Merging device onto everyday items
