Inspiration

I was inspired by my trip to ETHWarsaw hackathon. I booked my accommodation at AirBnB and I've paid big fee for 3rd party for guarantee I didn't want. That's why I created announcement web 3.0 app - for people who want to build up trust in the community without trusting the 3rd parties.

What it does

It's decentralised marketplace for people who want to post announcements and for those who want to find something to buy dedicated for web 3.0 community

How we built it

Firstly I made decision that I want to do it. I built it with ARweave as the pictures and announcements storage, WARP smart contract as listening storage and by RedStone oracle for calculating the price for ETH (if the price is provided).

API/backend is not neccesery, however in MVP it is present. It's written with Javascript/Node and express.

The front-end is powered by React and Material Design implemented in React.

The smart contract has been written in WARP/javascript.

Challenges we ran into

Doing everything alone. To find a proper app for video recording and to record it after not sleeping for very long.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Doing everything alone. Writing a big piece of code. Using new technologies I haven't used before except of workshops.

What we learned

I learned how much it is possible in WEB 3.0 sector through current technologies AND how much I can I accomplish actually in a day.

What's next for ARplace - web 3.0 marketplace

  • Adding 'Pick-Up location' field with map
  • Filtering products by location - show me all products in Poland OR 1 km from here.
  • Filtering products by other properties - phone number, price
  • Skipping ARweave Gateway usage
  • Gettting rid of ./api backend part - so the app will be easy to host and open locally
