My project was inspired by my own experiences, as I work out for at least an hour every day and must consume the right foods for my body. Thinking as an AI enthusiastic, I wondered what could AI do in this situation, where I have to calculate the calories and nutritional information in every food I eat or drink? so, I created a health nutrition and monitoring application that shows all the nutritional information of the food items that are provided as input and that we can also download. The project is called AROGYA AI because the word "arogya" in Indian culture signifies "health," and as health is the greatest asset, AROGYA AI serves as your portable nutrition adviser, providing real-time nutritional information about the foods you are eating. Using a large amount of dataset was the main challenge I faced when building this project. Eventually, I came across the Gemini Pro Vision Model and used the Google Generative AI Library along with other Python frameworks to build applications. I also applied some CSS concepts to style the web page; the application has themes that can be customized to be light, dark, or custom, and the displayed output can be downloaded as a CSV file. Finally, I created the option to deploy the application using Docker or any other service. With the help of the Gemini Pro Vision Model, AROGYA AI serves as your portable nutrition guide, providing precise and up-to-date nutritional data on a variety of food products.
