Inspiration Armada AI was inspired by the idea of orchestrating development like a fleet—where intelligent agents work together to streamline reviews, compliance, and deployment. I wanted to solve the frustration developers face when repetitive tasks slow down innovation. How I Built It I designed Armada AI using GitLab Duo’s Agent Platform, combining automation flows with AI-driven decision-making. I focused on chaining agents to handle multi-step workflows, ensuring seamless integration across planning, coding, and deployment. Challenges One major challenge was balancing complexity with usability—making sure the agents were powerful but still intuitive for developers. I also faced hurdles in optimizing performance so that automation didn’t add overhead to pipelines. What I Learned Through this project, I learned the importance of designing AI tools that don’t just automate tasks but augment human creativity. I also gained deeper insight into GitLab’s ecosystem and how agentic AI can transform DevOps into a faster, more collaborative process.
