Levels in different categories
We were inspired by the opportunity to improve the lives of students. As we are students ourselves, we know that sometimes it becomes boring to come to University every day. That's why we've come up with the idea to build an app that will make fun and challenging student's everyday life.
What it does
Our application adds some challenges to student life. We have several categories: education, sports, party, volunteering, etc. In each category, there are some goals that you could beat. For example, to visit the University library for the first time, to play three soccer games, to plant a tree, etc. Also, there is a pet in AR, that grows and upgrades his level as soon as you get some achievements. This element of gamification brings you motivation to use the app, to beat goals and participate in the life of the University.
How we built it
We used ARKit for AR, Swift as the language we wrote our app with, python for backend, AWS as our backend hosting service
Challenges we ran into
It was really difficult to learn AR development in such a small period of time, as we all met it for the first time. Anyway, we decided that it will be an honour to experience such innovative technology.
