AI tool that turns teacher modules into balanced quizzes with Bloom’s tags, auto-grading for MCQs, editable previews, visual aids, and printable OMR sheets—saving time without a full LMS.
Teachers spend hours creating assessments, often repeating the same process. We wanted to reduce that workload while improving question quality using structured pedagogy like Bloom’s taxonomy.
What it does
Arka is an AI-powered tool that converts learning modules into balanced quizzes, visual aids, and printable answer sheets. It supports teacher review, Bloom’s tagging, and auto-grading for objective items.
How we built it
We used prompt-engineered AI for quiz generation, structured templates for Bloom’s alignment, and a simple pipeline for generating OMR sheets and auto-grading via scanning/OCR.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing AI creativity with accuracy, enforcing the 20/40/40 question distribution, and ensuring outputs were editable and teacher-friendly were the biggest hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a functional end-to-end flow—from module upload to printable assessments—with teacher control preserved through preview and editing features.
What we learned
Good AI output depends heavily on structured input. Clear constraints and templates significantly improve reliability and usability in educational tools.
What's next for Arka
We plan to add analytics to identify student weaknesses and suggest instructional improvements, along with expanding content support and refining grading capabilities, including offline AI capabilities
