Ari's Fauna

Inspiration:

→ We were inspired by many visual graphics that games are currently bringing out. Ari's Fauna's biggest aspect is its visuals.

What it does:

→ Ari the Fox, takes you along on his very own intergalactic journey between two Universes, also known as his Fauna. → Along with Ari, you can enjoy discovering his two natural habitats including pertinent orchestral melodies.

How we built it:

→ We built it using the Unity game engine with C# scripting. We used texturing tools and 3D models to create the terrain.

Challenges we ran into:

→ We had a huge problem where our terrain kept getting corrupted whenever syncing occurs and it caused us to lose hours of work. There were also a lot of collider issues that caused some bugs. High Definition Pipeline could not work and because creating lighting was the most important aspect of our game, we resorted in using baked lighting and post-processing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

→ Some of us were beginners or had some experience with Unity. We were able to get many things done in a quality manner in so little time.

What we learned:

→ We were able to learn things such as texturing terrain and post-processing. Getting the third-person model animated was a new challenge that we all got and learned from.

What's next for Ari's Fauna:

→ In the near future, we will be planning on adding newer maps with better light mapping. Various enemies may be included in other foreign lands. There will be many more interactive functions and goals to do in the near future.
