Accelerated Report App The Problem: Bug reporting is frustrating. Users often abandon forms midway. QA teams spend hours sorting through reports. We wondered, "What if reporting a bug only required one button press?" What it does: One-tap bug reporting with automatic context capture:
4 buttons: Crash, Slow, Bug, Suggestion—that's all Auto-screenshots: Captures your screen automatically when reporting AI analysis: Gemini vision reads the screenshot and generates a complete bug report for you Instant resources: Automatically creates Stack Overflow searches and relevant documents Sentry integration: Generates real exceptions to ensure proper tracking Works offline: Reports queue and send when you're back online
How we built it:
FastAPI backend with Gemini 2.5 flash vision model Vanilla JS frontend with DisplayMediaCapture API Sentry SDK for error tracking and performance monitoring SQLite for report storage with similarity detection
Challenges: We spent too much time figuring out which Gemini model worked. Screenshot encoding was trickier than we expected. Achieving consistent AI outputs required many prompt adjustments. We had to create our own resource link generator after facing API issues. What we're proud of. We reduced a 2-minute form to a 10-second button press. The AI accurately recognizes issues from screenshots. No external APIs are needed—everything functions smoothly. Outputs look like those produced by a real QA team. What's next: Allow developers to chat with the AI about reports. Automatically identify patterns among bugs. Include video and voice support. Automatically assign bugs to the right team members.
One button. Full context. Done.
