Inspiration
To build a working robot with colour detection, depth sensing, and claw dexterity for the UTRAHacks Hackathon challenges (capture the flag, colour maze navigation, colour pattern detection).
What it does
moves, opens and closes claws, detects color, can turn, detects depth
How we built it
- Arduino code to program components
- Screws and glues to put everything together
Challenges we ran into
- Time constraints
- 3d printed parts not fitting
- The robot power was weak despite battery plugged in
- Colour sensor program difficult to implement
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It moves! Can detect distance and colour!
What we learned
- 3d printed materials might not fit together well
- The colour sensor is optimal with 3.3V power
What's next for Arduino Robot
The Arduino Robot will face the 3 challenges of UTRAHacks and work through them. More modifications will be implemented with further test runs.
