Arduino Calculator

Proposal

We want to make a calculator with our Arduino board that can compute basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Our project will use circuits and an array of buttons that correspond to the locations of buttons on a calculator. We will also connect a small LCD screen to our circuit in order to display the numbers that we are using in the calculations. We think this project will not take an incredibly large amount of time but will require us to make many button circuits, learn how to use an LCD screen, and write an involved code to perform the calculations depending on which buttons are pressed. We think this is an appropriate level of difficulty for us, since we are not very familiar with Arduino or with coding, but want to be creative with this project.
